PRINTING

Photographic printing is also at the core of MLTON Studios, where traditional photographic sensibilities meet contemporary digital printing technology. Using professional Epson printers and archival pigment inks, the process emphasizes exceptional tonal range, rich blacks, smooth gradations and fine detail, with particular attention to the nuances of black-and-white photography. Each print is carefully evaluated for tonal balance, contrast and consistency, with an emphasis on archival quality and gallery presentation.

Founder Philippe Trinh further developed his approach to black-and-white printing through specialized instruction at the Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW), with an emphasis on tonal refinement, print quality and exhibition presentation. This knowledge informs his hands-on approach to photographic craftsmanship, archival preservation and the physical print as an essential part of the artistic process.
